   @noyoushutthefuckupdad Firefox and Chrome used to have a good extension called Privacy Redirect that opened every Youtube link in an Invidous instance, but the list of instances was hardcoded and quickly became outdated.

   Now I just use
   redirect.invidious.io/
   and append the video code to the url.
   The page of links to instances at least will have that video in all the links.

     @Economic_Hitman There is a fork of privacy redirect that has enhanced functionality; https://codeberg.org/LibRedirect/browser_extension
     
     It has a hardcoded list of invidious instances that are rarely updated, but you can add custom instances no problem.
     
     Almost every time I look at the instance page more freedom respecting instances have been added :3

     I need to get in the habit of posting Invidious links. I will praise Calarts cartoons before I watch ads on Youtube.

     This is the first Asmongold video I've ever seen, but it was actually good. Maybe Youtube wasn't wrong to recommend me such a normie channel.
