   I swear to Christ I don't understand why smart, decent people on here bend over like a pretzel to assume people like Are0h "used to be decent" or have ever acted in good faith. Even thinking that deep down, they know that shitbag can still inflict damage if they say a peep doesn't explain it. From my outsider perspective, people on here are _extremely_ risk-averse when it comes to policing bad actors.

     @Moon Bad actors tend to know how to wield social capital and use it to their advantage, so conducting a defense in depth is really costly compared to centralized platforms where you really can just be like "lmao, don't need you anymore" and have it stick.

     @Moon The risk/ reward calculus is very lopsided. Too much to lose, won't fight is pretty apt. The amount of power a relatively small amount of people have to inflict damage for wrong think is depressing.
     Barring a huge social upheaval - I don't see this changing.
