     Though I do actually watch vids (ad blocked ofc), I would rather buy a nice piece of artwork to hang on the wall or a historically significant book as opposed to a TV.
     
     The idea is that I'm not ALWAYS the person I'd like to be, but when I'm making a purchasing decision, I'm not willing to cultivate a less great version of myself.

     You can use RSS and invidious.
     
     I use an add-on/extension called redirector (and on desktop, a qutebrowser script that I made, it's in my codeberg) that uses regex to reformat URLs, and change all YouTube links to an invidious server, and I use RSS to subscribe to YouTube channels. No account, no ads, none of that horse shit, just a feed for videos I care about watching and auto redirect when I go to watch them.
