   @LostInCalifornia What is the protocol for responding to the rapists who called the line?! I couldn’t be a 911 operator because of the way it twists the view of the world. Lots of suicides in the industries where you have to hear the worst shit people do, day in day out. Couldn’t do this work, either, I would be telling a lot of boys the nearest bridge.

     Almost every shift, it would happen again. A young girl writing in, describing what was quite clearly a rape, but not fully understanding that’s what had happened to her — almost always with a boy she was in a relationship with.
