     @ryanhoulihan Seems to me 'someone' may have conflated the idea that replying to *certain* texts in *certain* contexts too quickly "may* send an unintended side- message with the idea that it's ok to be a massively unresponsive cockwomble to people in general and serendipitously hit upon a way of looking at it that Proves Them Right. Boo to that, I say.

     @ryanhoulihan I recently learned this and started taking more time before texting someone who used to be a very good friend. She texts me 10 times more, I haven't made up my mind about it all. It's like seeming busy made me more appealing? I don't know.

     @ryanhoulihan The unspoken rule which I think is complete nonsense at least regarding new relationships that replying too soon or calling back very quickly somehow indicates you are unfit to be with them (too clingy, too something..).
     I rate the urgency of the reply based on a few factors like who they are and the subject matter.

     I used to have parents who would call me or message me like someone's dying, only to find out they wanted me to come over and clean up their yard for them.. 🤔 😩
