   You may have seen a lot of accounts on here use a rainbow pentagon logo that looks like this :fediverse:

   This is the Fediverse logo, or at least the most widely-used one.

   The Fediverse doesn't have any central authority so there will never be an official logo. However, many unofficial suggestions have been published, and the one which has gained the widest acceptance is this one:

   Its creator released it into the Public Domain, so anyone can use it in any way they see fit. It's sort of like the flag of the Fedi, used to represent it in discussions, events, sites and apps.

     The above logo isn't my logo, it's the Fediverse logo. I didn't make it, the credits for the logo are at the link in the original post.

     My logos are themed icons on top of the Fediverse logo, because my accounts concern the Fediverse.

     The plus is on @FediFollows and represents following an account.

     The lightbulb is on @feditips and represents having an idea.

     There's also @FediVideos with a box of popcorn.
