Some thread on prayer without belief:
As an afidelist, I obey the law of prayer, not the law of beliefs--Lex orandi, non lex credendi. To echo a line from a poem I wrote long ago, I obey until I obey. In prayer, I address my soul, the soul, whatever I have instead of a soul, or the simulacrum thereof. I talk to myself, and let soul listen.
