@kaia @quad @jonossaseuraava I've used Revolut for many years and they are getting worse. Many new features which I never ever want to use and the basic features are getting more expensive and worse. For example, to enable auto top-up, you first have to do about 100 manual top ups. This resets EVERY TIME YOUR CARD IS RE-ISSUED. The customer support is atrocious. So I am gradually moving to Curve which is simpler and OK for my needs.

@kaia used Wise for my entire Euro trip, pretty good :akko_thumbup:
Revolut has a lower weekday exchange rate but higher weekend exchange rate, whereas Wise’s fees are the same all week

however, @rin had some bad experience with Wise…so better keep multiple options tbh

@jonossaseuraava @kaia I'm sure the competitors are better if you make use of them, like gaming Revolut's free conversions or other add-ons like travel insurance

@jonossaseuraava @kaia As far as I can tell others are more like credit cards, they have all kinds of weird rewards and monthly plan tiers and crap. none of which I care about, I just want to hold currencies and pay with them.

And that's what Wise does, you pay once to get the card (which is also free if you're referred) and then you do your thing.

The only other fee seems to be ~0.5% for conversions and like 25 cents if doing top-ups via a debit card rather than from your bank account.

@jonossaseuraava @kaia I only recently became aware of Wise being available in Norway (I think they launched here around February).

I've wanted a multi-currency and digital card thing for ages. They just haven't really been around in Norway.

I went for Wise because their fee structure is simpler than Revolut (who apparently are also in Norway)

But which one of them is actually "best" i have no idea.

Wise gives you the card for free if you use a referral link though
