   Stigmatize homeless?

   Dear people with heart out there

   How can anyone allow something like this to happen?
   Why is such a big broadcaster allowed to broadcast something and not fear any consequences?

   How can a presenter say something like this without losing his humanity?

   Pls how is this possible?

   It makes me sick

     Whether you believe it or not.
     Some time ago I had an idea, a concept how to help the homeless.
     Without losing money in infrastructure, with a perspective for the future.
     With politics on board, which could advertise and profit with it

     All parties involved would profit from it, but partly financed by donations...so that the state does not immediately deny.
     Actually, I should write down this concept completely.... so far only in my head

     The problem....
     Who is listening to me??

     is always great, for the person, who receives it and also for the person giving. It nourishes our souls (with that I mean our inner self, not some esoteric/religious bullshit), which is almost as important as the food we eat.

     On the other hand: True solutions depends on politics, not on individual actions.

     food, once their main goal in life ceased to be "how to survive the next night".

     Unfortunately, I don't see anything like that happen, neither in Germany nor here in Switzerland and even less in the UK.

     Our cultures are too much based on the idea that you have to prove yourself "worthy" to be given anything, even the most basic essentials of life, when in reality the only thing that matters is, that you are a breathing and living human being.

     homelessness is decreasing year after year.

     This concept was incredibly successful. 80% of the people given flats managed to maintain them long term, and those who don't, can always re-enter the program.

     It has also been cost-effective for the state. Shelters and short term lets are actually expensive and so are the additional health costs and needed support for a person living rough.

     Also, many managed to re-enter a normal life with work, clean clothes and decent

     It's always great to offer homeless people assistance.

     However: They usually know where there is a shelter, but have good reasons not to go there.

     There is only one way to end a person's homelessness: Give them a flat, no questions asked.
     Shelters are necessary, and in high demand - they are usually quite overcrowded, but they're not a solution, just a palliative measure.

     Finland has this amazing policy "housing first" and is the only European country where

     @si_irini best thing to do with a homeless person is find out where the nearest shelter is, how much it costs a night then give them at least one nights fee and guide them there. Be the difference not the problem. 💪✊

     Please tell me, is this accepted?

     What happens when a homeless person is attacked? Will it then be accepted and spread that they are on their deathbed?

     These people have nothing.
     And are stigmatized by people who should be aware that this can happen to anyone.

     No one, no one has the right to talk about other people like this, no one

     People who have lost everything, who have nothing are perhaps even made into fair game in the end.

     I despair...

     This is an act of inhumanity that may get much worse.
