how is it legal to put a sheet of plastic in between ham slices so there's more plastic than ham? but maybe I bought plastic sheets separated by ham and the ham is there so the plastic does not stick? :senkohmm:

@kaia also in shredded cheese, it prevents the cheese (slices) to stick to another.

pre-grated cheese can be dusted with things, like potato starch to keep them from clumping

@kaia@brotka.st Don't worry, if you didn't have enough plastic yet there's microplastics inside the meat as well.

cheese can have crystals which can be a bit "glassy", but it does seem some places can use silicon dioxide in cheese.

@p @kaia yes, my tastebuds and sensoric features of my lips, tongue and fingers. 🤣

I just read that some time ago, but when I google it in English it seems the most common is actually cellulose. But also we can feel and taste that there is something on the cheese it is not listed on the package, I guess because the amount compared to the actual product is to low.
