There is borderline anime child porn in global. Much is not marked sensitive. This makes us look really bad to new users imo.
I think global feeds should be more of a hidden/advanced feature if we are going to have them at all.
Which we probably shouldn't have either, there are better ways to do discovery...

I just had a quick look and as suspected, it's all of the mostr.pub fediverse people posting that. At least from what I saw. That bridge is a cesspool @alex It's cool as hell from a technical standpoint and you're amazing to pull it off, but the content is less than to be desired by most. In conversation permalink -

If there are specific ActivityPub servers that are the source of it I will block them from the bridge. In conversation permalink Attachments

I think this is a UX problem with clients from my perspective. No matter what this kind of content will eventually show up on the protocol, but how can we build clients that don't show this kind of stuff by default, especially to brand new users In conversation permalink Alex Gleason likes this. -

Nostr users are also utilizing the bridge 2x more than AP users are. It's benefiting y'all a lot more than us.In conversation permalink -

Well, at least we're all in agreement that our corners of the Internet don't mix that well. 🫂 In conversation permalink
