   @thomasfuchs had a draft saved almost along these same lines. It’s infuriating how long she stayed in her position with everyone knowing how bad she was getting.

     ...& McConnell doing more or less the same thing. Byrd & Thurmond both as precedent. Do these people have nothing more they want to do before they die? (TBF with Feinstein there seems to be evidence she wasn't sufficiently compos mentis to presume she made the decision on her own.)
