   Yeah, my M does V a lot. I find Windows borderline unusable for development, annoying beyond measure. (Two CLIs…and they both suck?!) It’s got to be macOS or Linux for me. But I assume that’s just because I don’t know all the nice Windows-y shortcuts and idioms and tricks, and my whole experience is just missing what I’m used to.

     @tess macOS is definitely the worst operating system on the market except for all the others.

     @dustinrue @bwebster it's objectively worst than Windows and most desktop Linux, at least for the kind of development I'm doing. YMMV of course.

     Man you know what would be cool? If Apple figured out a way to update their machines without taking them basically out of commission for 30-60 minutes every month.

     It wouldn't be such a big deal but, I only use my Mac about once a month, at which point I'm overdue on a patch from IT and pretty much have to update immediately.

     About 30 minutes in and I'm at the stage where the screen repeatedly shows a logo and an inscrutable progress bar, then goes blank, then does it again, with no indication of what it's doing or where in the update process it is 🙃
