     @goatsarah @macrumors Is it? My Airport tower from 10 years old manages 500MB constantly. Nothing above that because that’s also the max of my LAN. I would expect even the stuff you can buy in a supermarket these days to easily go beyond what my Airport manages.

     @goatsarah @macrumors I didn’t factor this in, but I live in a 90+ years old house and don’t have to deal with concrete and lots of metal wiring etc. So my router just stands on the 1st floor and I get this speed when sitting on the ground floor, in the back of the house on my phone and mac.

     Maybe I overestimated what modern wifi on these devices and (even) cheap APs has come. Haven’t found the need to switch out my home setup the past 10 years. 😅
