Sexy Moon (moon@shitposter.club)'s status on Friday, 22-Sep-2023 17:50:35 JST Sexy Moon My Ethereum node, a tiny Intel NUC was completely crashing, it's been doing this since 2020. Last week it started crashing frequently.
I upgraded it from Ubuntu Focal to Ubuntu Jammy and the crashes have completely gone away.-

Sexy Moon (moon@shitposter.club)'s status on Sunday, 24-Sep-2023 20:16:05 JST Sexy Moon @mistermonster I have access to an Erigon node running in full archive mode and it's using 16 terabytes. you need archive node for historic values and it HAS to be SSD or nvme, spinning disk WON'T work. -

mister monster (mistermonster@freespeechextremist.com)'s status on Sunday, 24-Sep-2023 20:16:06 JST mister monster @Moon hey man, how big of a hard drive do you need to run the node? I'm working on something that I'm going to require the ability to fetch historical data on lots of pairs in liquidity pools and I'm wondering the best way to go about it. -

Sexy Moon (moon@shitposter.club)'s status on Sunday, 24-Sep-2023 22:11:16 JST Sexy Moon @mistermonster not that I know of and an archive node is not needed for consensus so public nodes tend not to be archive nodes as they are expensive to run. -

mister monster (mistermonster@freespeechextremist.com)'s status on Sunday, 24-Sep-2023 22:11:17 JST mister monster @Moon there's no way to fetch the data you need as you need it from peers and use your node as a reference or something like that?
