Software does not present an educational hazard, @futurebird, proprietary software does. In fact, teaching non-free software shouldn’t be called education, but implanting dependence.

I just found out about the new “ideas” from Unity and feel bad for all the people who invested their time learning that software and trapping their creative work in its framework. If your app isn’t trivial and you need people to learn it and generate content for free they need to be able to distribute their work on a modest scale.
