   i don't know how else to phrase this thought so lemme just toss it out into the universe:

   given the variety of jurisdictions where interacting with a minor *in any way* while trans opens transgender adults to legal harassment:

   actual minors, you cannot control your parent(s) or legal guardian(s).

   plural systems who count the ages of individual members, *please be specific with your age notations.* the law does not care about individual existence timers, just how long your body has existed.

     in so many words:

     a friend of mine was *legally prohibited from using the internet* and forced to register as a sex offender because the *parents* of someone she was trying to help decided to start legal shit.

     she was *extradited to another state* because there was a warrant she didn't even know about.

     last I heard she was facing constant harassment by the cops. and that was years ago.

     all because she didn't know that this child was an actual literal child in the eyes of the law.

     @LexYeen yeah I've been seeing a bunch of "minors dni in bio makes you a bad person"-type takes lately and I'm like... I don't want minors to interact with me not because I have any problem with minors but because I don't want to go to fucking prison! I post somewhat mature content sometimes as adults are allowed to do on this platform and should be allowed to without having to worry about fucking getting arrested.

     and considering that I had minors try to fucking get me in trouble with their parents or the law for this shit on Twitter even though I specifically said my account was 18+ and did not interact with any minors myself, a little caution is reasonable!
