     @specter Aerospokes are a thing because we dumb as hell buying dumb shit lmao. I tried one on the front before. Heavy asf but I mean it was fine as a wheel I guess. I prefer 36 regular ass spokes + box rims + Dura Ace hubs. The reason they’re often on the front is we were cosplaying as real track bikes I’m p sure

     @swaggboi on yeah this bike is gaining character now. I'm not gonna replace a wheel that's working!! What's with those wheels that have like big bars instead of spokes. Do those go more on the front or back and also why are they a thing

     @specter Yeah I was gunna say I love an excuse to build a wheel lol. This may be ‘cringe’ if you will but I also only rebuilt the one that busted. That way when people are like “What’s with the new wheel??” I can embellish the story about how I got t-boned by a mail van lol. It makes your bike look like a warrior’s bike!

     @specter I mean talk to a mechanic but I was told if you take the wheel apart, you gotta replace the spokes/nipples too. If the hub isn’t the same as the old one they might not fit but also my mechanic told me reusing the spokes/nipples is like “re-using guitar strings.”

     But also having a custom built wheel is dope. You can pick your favorite rims, Dura Ace hub, 36 spokes, etc.
