Offloading apps in iOS 17 still is missing two essential exceptions:
- don't ever offload critical infrastructure apps (apps that warn you, etc)
- don't offload apps that are used in shortcuts that run daily via automation.

@annika A feature where you can delete apps you don't use a lot without deleting its data to preserve disk space. You can enable it to be done automatically based on how often you use an app.

@map Ah, interesting. The Nintendo Switch does that :) I wonder what the potential savings are? My device has hundreds of GB storage, most apps are a couple hundred MB at most

@annika I usually have the 256GB iPhone and run into storage issues pretty often. I am a hoarder tho.
