I’ve got a hormone levels question. I’m on injectable E (weekly subQ) and my mid-week level is 572 pg/mL. (Endo insists on testing midweek 🤷♀️)
Endo says this is too high/risky, wants to lower dose. I say “bah! I feel great and like what’s happening!” I had upped my dose slightly to stop feeling like unaliving myself and it worked.
Can anyone back me up? @Impossible_PhD @siege perhaps?

Nope, I quit the biotin MV a good while back. Only other thing I take is a nightly oral 200mg prog tab. I quit my anti androgen 6 weeks ago per my endo cos I’d been on it 2 years. (My T was a mere 7 during this same test.)
(And thanks for the math adjust, I’m notoriously bad at it, lol)

@ValerieMars So as a reference, that is exactly what I take (.3ml of 20mg/ml subQ weekly on Sunday, 200mg prog every night). My last test (taken on Wednesday noonish) had me at under 200. I can't imagine how you got a 572 test. Maybe get a retest to see if it was a testing error?

@ValerieMars @siege Well, first of all:your math is wrong. 0.3ml of 20 mg/ml is 6mg/week, not 7. Even .33 is 6.6, not 7. You'd need .35ml to get 7ml.
Regardless, that's damn weird. A 7mg dose should have you running hot, but you should be *peaking* at about 530, give or take, and your reported dose should be peaking at like... 455.
Are you taking any multivitamins, biotin, anything like that?

Weekly jab on Sunday, labs done on Thursday. 0.3ml of 100 mg/5ml EV. SubQ. This comes out to 7mg/week, up from 5mg originally Rx’d.

@ValerieMars @siege Injections weekly? Levels taken on day what of the cycle? Dose, and concentration, and type of injections?
Need a bit more info about the actual injection cycle and such to give halfway decent advice.

@Impossible_PhD @TonyaMarie @ValerieMars yeah like it sounds like theres an error happening somewhere - that sort of level result we see in the uk is when the blood test was done on a site where estrogel was still on the skin. Id triple check measurements and doses and then if everything is normal request a second blood test to confirm it wasnt a false test

@siege @TonyaMarie @ValerieMars I mean, I do IM, and the location shouldn't make enough of a difference to increase levels by *that* much, should it?

@Impossible_PhD @TonyaMarie @ValerieMars the only reason id say IM might be causing the issue is if it was IM then the amount is staying for longer in the system so weekly injections of a dose meant to last only SubQ length of a week would build up to very high doses.
