   "Nonbinary people are just women trying to escape misogyny" is a transphobic talking point that ignores the existence of AMAB nonbinary people, and I simply will not put up with it.

     This is possibly a hot take but I think TERF-infected and similarly toxic queer communities treat "maleness" or "masculinity" of almost any kind as some kind of original sin you have to be remorseful for or repent of

     @mazel @BathysphereHat its nit a hot take its reality and it is detatched from fucking reality. Like if i was reveling in my "male privledge" why tf am i trans. Like "male socialization" its a thing that terf brainworms invented to deny us our agency for dealing with trauma and erasing our identity

     @BathysphereHat AMAB enby here, and so very tired of this, too. It leaves me in really weird places especially with corporate DEI, where too often "non-binary" really means "AFAB non-binary, by which we really mean women".

     @frost @BathysphereHat What's a little hard is that I'm the only enby in my department, and my company has a very strong institutional stance that "non-binary" makes no implications about your assigned gender. So they consider me for a lot of events and stuff where another organization has clearly decided "non-binary" means "woman lite". I don't want to disrespect my employer, especially because they're the ones in the right, so it does lead to some awkward situations at those events.

     @roadriverrail @BathysphereHat There's a local makerspace that runs "women and nonbinary" days and we actively avoid that place in favor of the slightly-less-local makerspace, which is very chill.

     So yeah. yeah.
