to be fair, one way to fix inflation is to crash the economy with massive unemployment. And then everyone is begging for scraps and will simp for their bosses again
@Moon@feld It's not going to work in the world of fiat money and skyrocketing M2 of USD. You'll just get crashing economy and sky-high inflation like in Zimbabwe (or in Yeltsin's Russia and to extent in Carter's America - everyone forgot what it was like to get 13% loans for cars lol).
Crank up unemployment. Turn off the money printer. What happens?
It deflates rapidly. It increases in its value. The prices of commodities come crashing down.
Mass unemployment == tons of people losing their homes or being evicted. Housing market is flooded with properties. Now the supply/demand has flipped. The prices of houses go *down*, not up.
Where in this equation does the value of money go down? Walk me through your train of thought.
@kaia@Moon A Jewish conspiracy is too simple to account for everything honestly. Like there's defiantly some truth to it, but i think focusing all your energy on the Jews misses a lot of other aspects to be honest.
@Moon i think he's mostly right. The value of work is so detached from the value of its rewards that as many jobs are ridiculously overvalued as are ridiculously undervalued.
However, the problem is mostly people like Tim Gurner, Tim Geithner, and probably a lot of other Tims who are the primary source of arrogance in all markets.
@Moon i agree that this is a net trend -- but explain to me how a diversity officer is worth more than a starbucks barista, or how a carpenter is worth less than an HR slob at the United Way? What percentage of them will be reasonably able to own a house?
These are the dissociations that are created by the Gurners of the world, pocketing the difference preaching tough love and bootstraps to the people they've raped.
@Moon@jeremiah Do you have any examples of DEI people getting fired? In my company we had layoffs a couple of months ago that gutted the program management office, impacted doc writers, and other somewhat useful functions. Even community advocates and outreachy were affected. But not DEI. If anything, they re-emphasized the importance of DEI at a company meeting a week ago (it's now renamed "DEIB" and I don't remember what B stands for). Did your employer fire any DEI officers?
