   @A_C_McGregor @goatsarah I kind of miss, and would like to rediscover, some of the childish joy from just being able to sit there and write a game on the Spectrum, Not a very good one, maybe, but there was joy in it. I get some of it from messing about with Raspberries Pi and Pico and electronics, but somehow my brain’s resistance to problems and problem solving gets in the way a lot.

     @grayface_ghost @goatsarah @Djuna A lot of the later teaching around code and computers misses out that for us as kids it was an intensely creative process. Now they do try to teach it like it's accounting.

     I suspect they miss a lot of good coders by that approach.
