   Fast forward to the present, I no longer strive for fame and fortune, and ironically, VCs keep reaching out about @pixelfed

     @pixelfed I will admit some of them "just wanted to learn more about the fediverse" and I was really tempted to engage, but after the whole Meta NDA mess I caused, I figured it's best if I just ignore all of them

     "I Didn't Come This Far, Just to Come This Far and Not Be Happy."

     I'm not sure I could live with myself if I took on VC funding, no amount of money could buy this - monetization and data collection would make it just as bad as IG, I never started this to become them, let's do it right

     @dansup @pixelfed most of the time you don’t want or need their money. They are usually jerks. Do it yourself if you can. It’s not as great as it sounds.
