     @rees @miscbrains @MrFuzzland @bot this debate feels a bit off base. clearly there are metallurgical differences. the question is how much of an impact it has for a particular use, if any. what's the difference in time and money spent?
     
     if I sharpened my knives half as often that would save me perhaps an hour per year? I dunno. it just seems silly to worry about
