     @dreiser_kinfolks @morpheo you should check out Session: encrypted using the Signal protocol (for both one on one and group messages ofc), decentralized using the Tor protocol so it's extremely hard to take down or surveil and no one knows both your source and destination IP or usernames, stores absolutely zero metadata (doesn't need an email or phone number or anything to sign up), and more.

     * e2e for single contact chats
     * e2e for group chats
     * decentralized
     * cross-platform
     * no account registration needed (works using email)

     * only downside, the way I see it, is that metadata contains the recipient address (and various email header metadata) like normal encrypted email does

     @anarchopunk_girl @morpheo Good tip. I have used it though, when it was quite new. But I was alone without any contacts, bacause it being new, 🙁 so I stopped using it. Maybe I should give it a try again.
