   Ahoy techno experts out there. Can someone point me in the right direction of how to set up a podcast. I guess I need a tool for creating an RSS file, and a place to host everything. But I would like some advice/tips on where to go and what to do.

     Don't waste money on equipment. Most are done using a laptop.

     @ned you don't need any tools other than basic text editor like notepad or whatever.

     You modify it to match your thing, make separate "item" section for every mp3 you're publishing and there you have it ;)

     I used a Wordpress site and some plugins. I think he said something about making a new tutorial without Wordpress soon though? I could be wrong.

     @Mummabear @ned There are plenty of new options for the music tracks that I'm still behind on. @Boo_BuryMothman, @SirSpencer, @AbleKirby and others may be able to help.

     For a normal podcast, I still prefer to roll my own either using WordPress and the Blubrry plugin or using @coldacid's project:

     @ned what you’re gonna wanna do is use https://musicsideproject.com/ it was created by @StevenB to step you thru putting your songs on a website (I use a Wordpress site plus a couple of plugins that escape me atm, it’s probably mentioned in the tutorial) then it will take you thru a “fill in the blank” about your album and songs. Artwork is gonna be hosted on your Wordpress, as well as the RSS feed.

     They keep ten percent for the big guy, pay you ninety percent, and you get a fraction of the abilities you would see with a self hosted feed.
