     No, I won’t eat mystery chemical creamy white sauces. It’s vinaigrettes or nothing. I actually wonder if tzatziki would work as a dressing instead of “ranch”.

     It’s shelf stable though, tzatziki isn’t. That alone is a huge difference in terms of chemicals. Tzatziki is also much lower calorie because its consistency doesnt totally depend on oil.

     I like Tzatziki on lamb.

     How is modern store tzatziki any less creamy chemical white sauce than Ranch? Rach is just a buttermilk base with some stuff on it:

     Ranch dressing is a savory, creamy American salad dressing usually made from buttermilk, salt, garlic, onion, mustard, herbs (commonly chives, parsley and dill), and spices (commonly pepper, paprika and ground mustard seed) mixed into a sauce based on mayonnaise or another oil emulsion. Sour cream and yogurt are sometimes used in addition to, or as a substitute for, buttermilk and mayonnaise.
