     @mangeurdenuage Damn you must have an endless thirst for profit if you're worried about some customers taking $0.05 extra of HFCS+flavor+water.
     
     But it seems that direct profit isn't going to happen, as maintaining the machine with such digital handcuffs is going to cost a lot more than having to have a few dollars more of HFCS a month shipped in.

     Not to mention the extra ewaste generated from these DRM machines and specially the ICs embedded into the cardboard cups (yeah, they use actual RF ICs to make this stupid scheme work).

     @fishsticks As far as I can tell, it's not about conditioning the normies to not get refills, as the corn syrup is so cheap that you wouldn't even notice a difference in profits if every last customer got a refill.
     
     As JihadJimmy pointed out, the proprietary plan seems to be the replacement of employees with proprietary machines as much as possible and I guess they're trialing maliciously-automated soda dispensing machines for now.

     @Suiseiseki @mangeurdenuage I'd imagine the cost of NFC stickers is well worth the cost as it'll psychologically condition you to not get refills. They won't roll this out to every store, but they'll do it to enough where it'll make you change your habits.

In high traffic areas in America, niggers (and sometimes wetbacks) will routinely bring their own cups into the store and fill them up without paying, sometimes several times a day. Multiply that by scores of thirsty cheap niggers and you're no longer in the restaurant business, but instead are in the giving away soda business. Niggers are also why we don't have water fountains and public pools here anymore.
