     @split when I was in high school, several math websites were blocked for "prohibited educational content" and if that doesn't perfectly describe the US education system :blobfoxlaugh:

     @hamburger317 @split @hazel I worked at a university facility where the only filtering on the wi-fi was for any URL with the word "sex" in it. So if you did a search for "essex" it was blocked. PornHub? OK! Went to the IT guy with an open DNS porn filter and he said "we're required to have a filter." End of conversation.

     @split @hazel my school blocked GitHub. Sucks because it's a genuine part of the computer science curriculum, and I'm the type of person who likes to read source code in her free time. Me and my teacher have launched complaints to the people in charge of the block, nothing has changed
