@meowski @alex @lamp When Minds started federating, the first thing some people tried to do was spread lies about them and start trouble with their users.
I don’t even blame them for not federating if they’ve been watching this behavior. “Our guys” are more annoying than Masto troons.

@opphunter88 @djsumdog @meowski @alex @lamp Look. I'm not going to deny that bullying Gab was fun. But we also need to look at how they handled it. If they had a little bit more time, the bullying would've stopped. Think of it as a form of integration. They want to be on the free-speech side. Well they need to learn to take it too.

@djsumdog @alex @meowski @lamp It’s actually not very funny to saw off the branch you’re sitting on.
There’s nothing wrong with having fun or a little trolling, but when you’re so obnoxiously toxic that you’re an active detriment to what could be critical communication infrastructure in the future, it’s not funny, it’s just sad.
We’re not on /b/. We’re allowed to care and I refuse to pretend the image board attitude is cool. /b/ is shit. /pol/ is shit. We can do better.

I mean half of the ""based"" fedi instances dogpile just for the sake of it. I havent seen a thread from toplevel mastodon or some jizzy new platform that isnt filled with poast/mugi/drc/whatever retards spouting off shit
its funny too because these people taut about how ""good"" the fedi is and then proceed to actively shit it up (at least in my opinion)
