What do we mean when we say Fediverse? In The Multiple Meanings of the Fediverse, @fediversereport explores three different interpretations of the word. Each based on a different founding principle: Community, ActivityPub, or Interoperability.
Keeping in mind that people may have different interpretations can be useful when having conversations about the #fediverse.

  Ironically the definition of the fediverse from wikipedia which was cited in the article has changed dramatically over the last month or two by a very aggressive editor with an agenda.
  
  First take a look at that page.

  Then look at it before the vandalism. In a form that has remained largely intact for the last 4-5 years.

The fediverse includes platforms such as Mastodon for microblogging, Pixelfed for sharing photos, and PeerTube for sharing videos.
