Stop pointing out logic holes in fascist and conservative action and ideology. It's a waste of time.

These political movements aren't concerned with solving problems, with intellectual honesty or with logical consistency. They're about building and maintaining power. Anything that keeps the privileged in-group in control and makes marginalized groups more malleable is good and desirable in their world view.

@amberage @schratze and that's why punching fascists in the throat is way better than trying to talk to them.

@schratze hypocrisy is the highest accomplishment to fascists. It's the ultimate freedom from consequences and rules, they're free from even being held to their own words.

      Or, a Sartre quote:

“Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert.”

      — Jean-Paul Sartre, “Anti-Semite and Jew” (1944)

This reminds me of a reporter who was held by a extremist fundamentalist Muslim group for a year. He said how trying to use logic and reason just absolutely did not work. At all. These are the same type of people
