     Some Fediverse servers have RSS feeds but I wonder if like in Mastodon that is restricted by authorized fetch or something stupid like that.

     Except it shares a lot of early HTML woes. Weak defined standards, faulty generators, and permissive clients.

     @cnx @Moon the joke is that ostatus was a thing that federated over feeds, with pubsubhubbub and salmons added later to handle sending updates directly instead of polling

     @idk, perhaps because rss comments are poorly adopted and there's no such thing for atom? not to mention it can't be done in a distributed manner (webmention-like), it can't be a social network if one can't do the most basic social thing called a dialog, and look i'm doing a trialog with thee and @Moon rn
