     It’s reported that the planned Google data center in Uruguay will use cooling towers for its water. Why would Google use a more wasteful and polluting system, when much more environmentally closed circuit alternatives are available? Cheap. It’s not enough to get the water for almost nothing. It’s also important to use the cheapest water management system around, because that way you make more of those green bucks that allow you do do more of that greenwashing.
