     It's the same kind of thing that leads lost men to following the Andrew Tates and Jordan Petersons of the world (who say if you do this and that you'll be sigma male gigachad) at least from who I used to know. Every single one of them had family issues, shitty psychiatrists who think that happy pills will fix the problems in life, and extreme identity issues. It's also why there's so many detransed women and likely to be more men as well, when these people get into their 30s and realize there's "no refunds". As the tavistock scandal showed, it's already beginning to happen.

     I blame the fact that so much is low fucking quality these days, since furry artists know firsthand that you can be a bad/mediocre artist who never improves/is stuck in a rut, and people will throw money at you to draw porn. There's also the oversaturated market if you're not looking for someone who draws a specific fetish/character or the mental decline of many artists thanks to Twitter, or how so many of them have projects they never finish etc.
