     Speaking of links... Is there a magic setting to enable them in a Firefish timeline? They all just display as plain text for me. (They're actionable on user profiles, though..)

     The app makes simply a head call to get headers and check the location response.

     Which HTTP client actually tries to resolve the URL to check for redirections and hence ultimately shows up in the logs of the potential URL shortening service?

     * The Fedilab *app* on the mobile device?
     * The home instance of the :fediverse: account that is checking for redirections?
     * Some server or service run or used by Fedilab?
     * Or ...?
