     @emilygorcenski just thinking our loud here, maybe this would be an interesting service: a Git origin that never allows rebasing/amending and operates like an escrow service, so that you can demonstrate to someone in the future you did indeed take this note on this day.

     A high tech replacement for emailing notes somewhere to created an uneditable email trail. Perhaps it already exists!
