   I've never had a covid post go wide enough on mastodon to start encountering the types of people who want nothing more than to frantically go back to normal. It's disturbing to watch them try and negotiate for why it's acceptable to not take precautions against it, as if coming up with good reasons for why they should do nothing will make the virus less dangerous or prevalent

     And no, you can't gaslight or debate or browbeat me into shutting up about covid. I will never shut up about covid until it's fucking *handled.* For every one of you gaslighting fucks who pops up when I talk about covid I get 5 messages from vulnerable or immune compromised people thanking me for taking covid seriously and speaking up, so they don't feel so alone and abandoned. I won't stop fighting for them, or for the rights of every other right thinking person on this planet to live their life without constant fear of contracting a dangerous virus classified as a level 3 biohazard because you fucks are too whiny to put on a mask

     Let me make this perfectly clear: the virus doesn't care what you believe. Covid doesn't think, it doesn't feel, it just propagates itself more efficiently than potentially any virus in human history and it will never go away so long as societies collectively insist there is nothing that can or needs to be done to reduce its mind boggling levels of year round spread. A self-perceived win in a debate with someone on social media will not do anything to stop it or make you safer. Things like masking and air filtration will
