I continue to be fascinated by the fact that when Jack Dorsey looks back at his time at Twitter, his only regret is that it was technically possible for him to ban the Nazis so people nagged him to do so.
So now his ideal social network is one where the moderators can’t ban Nazis.
In today’s mini Japanese story (listened to for language practice), a woman with two children boards a ferry, along with a samurai. The kids demand candy, but there is only has one sweet 🍬.
The kids are brats and each demands to be given the candy.
The samurai wakes and draws his katana🗡️.
Is the solution to decapitate a child? I thought so.
So did the mother who hides the kids behind her.
But samurai slices the candy in two, solving the issue, although with a disappointing lack of finality.
I'm sure some flights from BER #Berlin airport must depart on time. The flight board tells me so.
So why is it that every time I fly from here I'm always, always, always delayed?
@diverdutch @GottaLaff @Plautus
...every 10 days or so.
So, either way I do it, it won't really work all the time.
Says the man who can’t justify his position.
You claimed that Marcion and Valentinus didn’t qualify as Christians because they denied the historicity of Christ, which is a criterion I’m not even sure I agree on, since many early Christians believed in Christ spiritually but not physically, but when I gave you the opportunity to show me that these two men actually denied the historicity of Christ, you had a hissy fit in place of doing so.
So your (dubious) criterion for tr00 Christianity, even if accepted at face value, doesn’t bring us to the conclusion that Marcion and Valentinus weren’t real Christians.
@eniko "Skin cancer ain't a problem, why do I need sunscreen?"
"Asbestos is an incredibly practical, fire-safe material; let's go back to building sheds out of sheets of it, please!"
"CFCs are way more effective, why the hell does the government say I can't use them?"
…
People are idiots.
Maliciously so.
Selfishly so.
So many of the loudest do so "for the sake of the children", so… why the hell don't they think a viable future is worth it, for the children?
Short-sighted cretins.
