     @CoolerPseudonym I think most people will obey traffic laws voluntarily because they don't want to be smashed into a pulp. It's like that here in Miami though they do ticket blatant red light violators.

     @zorinlynx I’d been doing it for years and never got a ticket, even though it was always illegal, as I have discovered.

     Nashville cops are not big on traffic enforcement. They’re understaffed and mad at the city, so I think they quit writing traffic tickets almost entirely a few years ago. That’s the story, anyway. Turns out the world kept going just fine.

     @CoolerPseudonym we also have "blocking the box" law but it only applies if you linger too long.

     I guess a cop can write you up regardless, though everyone does it here and I've never heard of anyone ticketed for it.

     @zorinlynx It’s considered “blocking the box” here. The concern is you’ll get stuck, I guess.
