     @GelatinousRube GEEEEEEZ ok I never got them that bad. I had mad allergies too, but sometimes I'd get the hives and no other symptoms, and for about a year I got them almost every damn day no matter what I did, hence why it was diagnosed as chronic hives (by some allergy doctor). The severity started going down quickly after the first two years, but boy that was not a fun time. I used to just rub Voltaren all over myself lol XD I never scratched the hives much because they hurt to touch 🤔

     @Piss_Ant ARGH that sounds awful!! I found out I was allergic to penicillin as a kid by getting super itchy for a couple of days. My parents didn't believe me until my palms got completely covered with big blistery-looking hives. I was taking penicillin because I'd given myself sepsis from... scratching my hives. Sometimes I'm super surprised I made it through childhood

     @Piss_Ant isn't it interesting to think about what brings these things on? My cells are defective but what caused your body to be upset for a set period of time? A mystery

     @GelatinousRube I'm defective in myriad ways. Not sure about the hives, I always just considered myself one of those kids with allergies and never questioned it too much. Bad luck I guess. It came on really suddenly one day too, like the first time I had them it was really bad.
     
     My parents are convinced it's from growing up beside a refinery. Because my family members who live there have allergies and asthma, and for many of us, it cleared up when we moved to the coast (many diff family members have moved to the coast over the years). Doesn't seem to clear up for the ones who stay.

     We have a refinery geographically near us here, but it's on the other side of a mountain, and it is a much smaller refinery. Not an asshole refinery (I don't think...)
     
     I just want to live in the pod and get paid to play video games for 8 hours a day so they feed human behavioural data into the infovat. I'm so poor. I will sell a fucking kidney. (Don't feel bad for me, all my monies is went to alcohol).

     @Piss_Ant oh hmm interesting! I think I'm allergic to assholes because it's the same every city I go to. Seattle is definitely an asshole refinery. But I don't think I'll go unibomb. I like lazily showing up at work instead of growing peas under a lean to and making candles out of pus or whatever people do in the woods
