@nixCraft The debian one needs to still be a toddler. Because of stability reasons the updates (growing up) was not yet introduced.

@jihadjimmy @nixCraft From all I could test Trisquel is so far the most stable of all the *buntus that exist. I'd even say it's as stable as debian. In all consideration it's not surprising, debian doesn't ship defacto proprietary software while most *buntus do, it however allows simplification of installation of proprietary software via scripts, scripts which are absent in Trisquel. -

I really wish Trisquel had a rolling release based on Debian. In fact I wish Trisquel was Debian-based, using Ubuntu was a mistake. -

That's not entirely true since Debian 12. Debian now doesn't follow their own software guidelines and makes it extremely inconvenient to download, install and run Debian without ever touching nonfree software. It's a great distribution ruined by the usual OSImp scumbags.
Also yes, Trisquel is a stable distribution (Ubuntu LTS) and so is reliable (rarely crashes or has serious bugs), the problem comes when you require newer software. If Trisquel was based off of Debian this wouldn't be so problematic and Trisquel could fill the void Debian has left since the last years.翠星石 likes this.
