And yes humans make terrible decisions all the the the time too.
The difference is that (at least in theory) humans can be held responsible.
The reason LLMs are so welcomed by so many mid people is that they no longer have to fear being responsible for terrible decisions and the repercussions that could happen—instead they can just shrug it off as “computer bug”.

I read it first as “it simple isn’t possible to read books” - which makes sense for the people banning them.
