"What Returning Your Shopping Cart Says About You" it says that i want my euro back
@cinnamon @amberage oh yeah, I feel like they're not giving away as many of them lately (plastic bad I guess) but back in the 00s every family car would have at least four of these tokens scattered around in the glove box or at the bottom of cupholders
@cinnamon @codl what about these plastic or metal non-currency coins you get as an advertisement gift everywhere that fit into shopping carts as a collateral instead of a buck? Are those a thing in Canada, and what of the US?
@codl it's a thing in canada! they're everywhere. not as common in the us though iirc, i'm guessing because dollar coins are more rare than bills there
@codl not in the states, but some of em are starting to put like proximity sensors that lock the wheels if it thinks it goes outside the store or parking lot
