Also they didn't even replace the thermal paste.
The palm rest around one of the hinges had warping
I did get a nice kick out of the "Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher" holographic sticker that was placed on the machine.
I didn't know DK Oldies was in the business as a 3rd party refurbishing thinkpads on Newegg.
Newegg never messaged me back regarding the purcahse either.

@coolboymew Luckily I bought two one o the refurbs was for a relative of mine who's paying me to upgrade and setup their shit. I mean other than that I got a better than expected deal for the price. It came with a touch screen IPS panel and a nvme drive.
The other laptop I planned on giving to my dad to retire his T420 from 2011 needs a new battery and probably a replacement palm rest which will be another $70 in total if I get non oem parts.

@coolboymew I guess I got high expectations of refurbs because I've bought quite a few refurbs in the past from Nintendo and other places and have gotten really good quality refurbishment.
I mean at th bare minimum I atleast expect the refurbisher to test that all the parts are working. Shipping a laptop with a non working bulging battery is not "refurbished" I told Newegg I want a replacement battery and it fell on deaf ears
