     @maxburn @Dicer @DocScranton We had a deal, a compromise: colorblind meritocracy. Whites bought in on that deal fully in the 80's/90's, but blacks reneged* on the deal during the Obama years. Equality wasn't enough for them. They wanted eternal free shit and Whites are expected to pay for it. So racism is making a huge comeback among Whites. Among blacks, it never went away really.

     @Dicer @caekislove @DocScranton geez, this thread struck a vibe with me. I’m a firm believer you can’t fix racism or whateverism by reversing it and continuing it, that will never end. You have to actually be able to move on but somehow we aren’t figuring that out.
