@amy Ah, here we go. The Japanese developed a taste for beef tongue and they import a lot of it now.

@amy I do recall seeing a capital C chef kind of guy on Food Network cooking one in a sous vide machine and then slicing it and searing it to make a fancy sandwich. White people here would eat that.

@amy No, demographics here haven't changed much. I started poking around online right now and it looks like prices tripled to quadrupled around 2015-16, but I haven't found out why.
@MLE_online damn, i just assumed it was bc there’s a large latine population here but not so much in philly. but i assume your area hasn’t changed.
@amy tongue used to be cheap here, too, but now it's obscenely expensive. i don't know what happened!
