   5Your basket and kneading bowl will be blessed.
   
   6You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
   
   7The LORD will cause the enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you. They will march out against you in one direction but flee from you in seven.
   
   8The LORD will decree a blessing on your barns and on everything to which you put your hand; the LORD your God will bless you in the land He is giving you.
   
   
   If you aren't enjoying God's care, consider talking to Jesus about changing that. Jesus has already prepared for you to receive God's care. It isn't a loan, you don't pay as you go, there is nothing to pay back.
   
   A life of joy awaits for all those who know Jehovah, and His son Christ Jesus.

     @Omega_Variant @hazlin @ArdainianRight @idea_enjoyer One of the best examples of this is Ezekiel 4, where God, after commanding Ezekiel to lie on his right side for 390 days followed by his left for 40 days while proclaiming judgments on Israel and Judah, then commands him to eat barley cakes fired with human feces in front of everyone else during that time.
     
     Ezekiel protests, and God allows him to use cow dung instead.

     The prophets were also some of the most miserable people on earth and everyone hated them for the messages they had.
     
     God indeed takes care of us, that often times comes at the cost of suffering and being miserable on this earth.
     
     
     One can be miserable here but joyful for the reward they are saving up in heaven, the two aren't exclusive. After all this is not our home.

     @hazlin Not at all. In fact, most modern churches speak often of God's love for us to the exclusion of any talk about God's discipline.
     
     I would have to hear more about what you are describing to understand it better, and I would have to hear your discussion of all the parts of the Bible that address the suffering of God's people before I could accept what you are saying, and it has to be deeper than "people get angry when they hear God wants to bless His people."
     
     Of course God blesses His people, but the Bible is also full of comfort towards those in trials which they don't understand. If your worldview can't account for this at greater depth than "they're not real Christians", or "they were in sin," your worldview has some gaps that will need to be addressed

     @idea_enjoyer @hazlin Reminder that Jesus is the biblical figure who talks about hell the most. He came to save us and wants to warn us of the consequences of rejecting Him.

     @idea_enjoyer I've honestly not encountered anything like my post in the wild. It is always some twisted version about giving money to a pastor or church.
     
     Giving to get, doing to receive.
     
     When you separate out the shit everyone is mixing into it. You just have a lot of scripture, where God talks about taking care of you, and doing stuff for you.
     
     Surprisingly, people react poorly to hearing about God's goodness. Like they have come to accept Him as being harsh and hard. They get angry when people suggest otherwise.
