So Markdown is now supported with the app. It seems that messages coming from instances that already support Markdown don't give good results.

    Fedilab will be able to format Markdown in the next release. Now, we have to do that for MFM for full support especially with Firefish. https://misskey-hub.net/en/docs/features/mfm.html While the Markdown support doesn't require WebView, we will have to play around with https://github.com/misskey-dev/mfm.js
